Stewarts Garden Centre

Last Christmas we were delighted to be asked to supply Stewarts Garden Centre Christchurch with a selection of our Gift packs. They were so popular that Stewarts now stock a range of Spice'n'Easy products.


Mulling Surup

Spice'n'Easy have delivered just over 120 bottles of our Spiced Mulling Syrup in the last week. This wonderfully simple method of making Mulled Wine is proving more popular than ever. That it can be used to make single glasses of Mulled Wine and also provides the opportunity to offer 'drivers' a warm spiced drink are contributing factors we have been told. It is served over the bar at Haven Bar and Bistro, The Cave Milford and with afternoon tea at Careys Manor. 


Careys Manor Hotel and Spice'n'Easy

Careys Manor Hotel, one of the finest hotels in the New Forest are including a glass of Mulled Wine made with our Mulled Wine Syrup  with their very fine sounding 'Festive Afternoon Tea'


Blue Sky Deli - Highcliff

Sarah and Ali the owners of the Blue Sky Deli, 349 Lymington Road Highcliff, are the newest stockists of Spice'n'Easy Products. They are starting with a smallish selection of our products but will be very happy to get anything you want from our Product List. Sarah and Ali are firm believers as we are in supporting local producers and draw their stock from the best of Dorset and Hampshire.



Fuzzi sited at No8, Parchment St have just taken delivery of the following Christmas products so all you Winchester people get round there and stock up


Big Barn

We have increased the number of products available through the online retailer Big Barn. Included in this list are the following Christmas products with their distinctive red raffia ties. A link to their web site is on our Stockists page


Crow Farm Shop - Silver at BPEX 2013

Crow Farm Shop, nr Ringwood have won amongst other awards Silver for their Pork and New Forest Lime Pickle Sausage and yes, the Lime Pickle was made by Spice'n'Easy. What can we say except, 'Congratulations' to Alex, Sally and the team and that we are very pleased to have contributed to this success.


Maison Cuisine our Newest Stockist

Maison Cuisine, in the Angel Courtyard, Lymington is now stocking some of our products. Now under new ownership we are delighted to add this premier coffee shop and delicatessen to our list of stockists. We would like to welcome Chris and his team to Lymington and of course wish them the best of luck. If there is anything that you want from out Product List not currently held, just let Chris know and he will get it for you.  


Hampshire Food and Drink Awards 2013

Spice'n'Easy has made the finals of the 2013 Hampshire Food and Drink Awards in the New Forest Marque category. This is the first time we have been nominated for this prestigious award and now wait till 22nd August when the winners of each category are announced. To get to this stage has been the result of a great deal of support from our customers so huge thanks to everyone who supported our nomination.   


Pretty Pickle "adds another dimension". One of our oldest and most popular chutneys gets praised in the Milford on Sea News Blog.

Shopping for lunch David Long decides on to go 'impromptu French' made up with a freshly baked baguette by Hollands of Milford, local cheese from Fernhill Cheese Company in Sway and Pretty Pickle from us.

Spice'n'Easy is going 'Overseas'

Spice'n'Easy will be exhibiting this weekend on the Isle Of Wight at the IOW Spring Garden Show, Robin Hill Gardens nr Arreton. We will have plenty of tasters for customers to try. We will be launching two new products at the show.

  1. Lime Pickle - our take on this very popular accompaniment to any curry, especially our own Curry Kapitan
  2. Fig and Olive Chutney - not sure where the inspiration for this one came but it is really very good! Two Mediterranean fruits  blended with port, fennel seed, fenugreek, clove, lemon and thyme.

While at the 'Show' we hope to meet owners of IOW Farm Shops, Delicatessens, Camp Site Shops, simply anyone who would like to join the every growing list of SnE stockists

Spice'n'Easy make Finals of BIB 2012

Spice 'n Easy have advanced to the final 3 of the 2012 Brilliance in Business awards in the category for Sustainable Business sponsored by the New Forest National Park Authority. Final judging took place in Lyndhurst on Friday 16 November and the results of the judging will be announced at the Presentation Dinner on November 28, 2012.

Spice'n'Easy Gold Star Award products chosen by

 Fortnum & Mason

Shortly after being awarded G.T.A. Gold Stars for her Christmas Mincemeat and Mulling Syrup, Claire was contacted by London Food Emporium Fortnum & Mason. The second order in two weeks has just been delivered! The products will appear both in the Piccadilly Store and the F&M Online Shop. Spice'n'Easy are immensely proud to have two products in the final 60 of those chosen by Fortnum & Mason from the hundreds of 2012 Gold Star products


Spice'n'Easy Do It Again At The Great Taste Awards!!

Once again Spice n Easy have been awarded medals for their products at the 2012 Great Taste Awards. Our Christmas Mincemeat has been awarded the highest possible 3 Gold Stars and our Mulling Syrup 2 Gold Stars. Only 123 of the 8807 products entered were awarded 3 Gold Stars Awards this year so this represents an achievement of the highest order! Spice'n'Easy are now taking orders for December delivery in time for Christmas 2012.


Spice'n'Easy Move Into New Premises

Spice'n'Easy have moved out of Claire's kitchen into a 104M unit on a local trading estate which has been fitted out with separate kitchen and storage / packing areas. Pride and joy in the new kitchen are 4 new Buffalo 3Kw Induction Cookers and a dedicated 'prep' table setup. The storage / packing area has been fitted out with new shelving for improved  storage and stock control and a packing table. With this new premises Spice'n'Easy will be able to increase production by up to 4 times what was possible in the kitchen at home.


Spice'n'Easy wins Gold Awards for our Spiced Carrot and Pumpkin Chutney and Sweet Onion Marmalade.

Claire says - “I am really delighted to have won these awards. Spiced Carrot & Pumpkin Chutney is my best selling product so I think all my customers should give themselves a pat on the back as they obviously have award winning taste!! Onion Marmalade is one of my firm favourites and great in a sausage sandwich and delicious with a creamy goat’s cheese.”

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are now in their 18th year. 7481 products were entered from 1600 companies for the 2011 Great Taste Awards. It took 350 experts 34 days to blind taste all the entries and decide which entries would achieve the coveted one, two and three star gold awards.  

Bob Farrand, Chairman for The Great Taste Awards, said: “Winning Gold in the country’s largest and most respected independent food accreditation scheme is a massive pat on the back for any producer - independent proof their products are of the highest quality.
